Delegates – WildlifeUnite

In addition to bringing together leaders from across the wildlife conservation movement, WildlifeUnite also includes the official 87th Annual Meeting of the National Wildlife Federation.  As the largest and oldest gathering of grassroots conservation leaders in the nation, the Annual Meeting brings together delegates from each of National Wildlife Federation’s 52 state and territorial affiliates to set policy, elect the NWF board of directors, and govern the organization.

The founding of the National Wildlife Federation took place in February 1936, when conservation leaders from across the nation gathered for the first North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference. Since that time, we have met every year to tackle the most pressing conservation issues facing our nation.

Annual Meeting activities occur throughout the week and are carried out by delegates formally chosen by each NWF affiliate organization. If you want to learn more about the process, feel free to contact any member of the Affiliate Partnerships team.
